On April 6th, voters in Pratt County will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to support
a county-wide 1% sales tax to help build a major addition to Pratt Regional Medical Center. PRMC's
buildings are owned by the citizens of Pratt County. Further, a sales tax increase would allow residents
to share the expense of the project with those who come from outside of Pratt County to use our
medical facilities instead of bearing the burden of paying a property tax increase to replace the worn
out mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in the current facility.
Two community forums will be held regarding this issue. The first will take place on Saturday, February 27th at Pratt Regional Medical Center, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Stanion Conference Center to discuss the proposed PRMC building project. A second community forum is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 22nd at 6:00 p.m.
Below, you will find links to different resources that further explain why an expansion and building update is needed now, as well as information on what is being proposed, how it will be paid for, and the economic benefits to Pratt County and it's citizens. All documents are in printable .pdf format.
