2004 Volunteer Awards
Released: April 18, 2005

At Pratt Regional Medical Center, volunteers make each day special. Helping others is what they do best. Each year during National Volunteer Week, Pratt Regional Medical Center hosts a luncheon to recognize and honor the volunteers who have achieved outstanding levels of volunteer service hours.

“It is an honor for me to recognize and thank our volunteers,” said PRMC President and CEO, Susan Page. “I am thankful, everyday, for each and every one of them. Volunteers are a big part of Pratt Regional Medical Center, and without their compassion and dedication, PRMC would not be the family it is today.”

Volunteers choose to help out in different areas of the hospital. They may run the gift shop, staff the information desks, assist patients by escorting them to radiology for an X-ray or by helping them to their vehicle once they have been dismissed. Volunteers also help by delivering snacks, flowers and newspapers to patients. PRMC volunteers are also playing an important role in the community by helping others receive their prescription medication for free or at a reduced cost through the Prescription Assistance Program.

For more information, about volunteering at PRMC, contact Francie Hattabaugh at 450-1429.
