Pratt Regional Living Center has recently
been selected to receive the Leading Edge Care and
Services Award from the Kansas Association of Homes
and Services for the Aging (KAHSA).
“We
received the award for our Montessori Based Dementia
Care,” PRLC director, Janet Cline said. “Since
we’ve started this program, many of our residents
have experienced positive results, and are doing things
they have not been able to do in years.” This
program is just one of the many steps PRLC is taking
in culture change to provide a better quality of life
for their residents.
There were a total of 50 nominations for this award.
“Receiving this award is a great honor,”
Cline said. “Our staff has worked very hard
to implement the Montessori Based Dementia Care, which
helps to improve the quality of life of our residents.”
Pratt Regional Living Center, owned and operated by
Pratt Regional Medical Center, is a 51 bed, long-term
and short-term care facility. For information about
PRLC, please contact Janet Cline at 672-3424.
