| With
summertime quickly approaching, young people are making
plans on how to spend their summer vacation. Some
will work, play, attend camp, rest and relax and others
will park themselves in front of a television or computer
for entertainment. For those who are still undecided
on how to spend their summer vacation, there are many
opportunities to choose from, and one opportunity
involves volunteering.
Pratt
Regional Medical Center is currently seeking Volunteens.
Volunteens are young people between the ages of 14
and 18, who are interested in working in healthcare
and enjoy helping others.
During
the summer, Volunteens assist the PRMC professional
staff in providing warm, caring, friendly assistance
to our patients, as well as help with other duties
in non-nursing areas of the hospital.
The
summer Volunteen program is a great way for young
people to earn references and work experience for
future employment and educational opportunities. Becoming
a Volunteen can be a self rewarding experience, and
all Volunteens are expected to be responsible, dedicated
and dependable.
Those
who are interested in becoming a Volunteen may pick
up an application at Liberty Middle School, Pratt
High School, Skyline, or Pratt Regional Medical Center.
Applications need to be turned in to Francie Hattabaugh,
PRMC Guest Services and Volunteer Coordinator by May
19th. Interviews will begin at the end of May. If
you have any questions, please contact Francie Hattabaugh
at 620-450-1429.
