Gallbladder Ejection Fraction with CCK
DEFINITION: This test may be done in conjunction with the Hepatobiliary Scan to better evaluate your gallbladder's ability to function. The day of the exam please report to the Emergency Room. A heparin lock will be inserted at this time. This lock will facilitate the using of intravenous drugs when needed. If the gallbladder is visualized then Ken-O-Vac (CCK) is given. This test will take slightly over one hour to complete.
AFTER THE EXAM:
Inpatient: You will be returned to your room.
Outpatient: The Technologist will check the films with the Radiologist, then you will be dismissed. |
