Children’s Miracle Network Awards PHF Grant
The Childrens Miracle Network notified the Pratt Health Foundation of a grant award of $6,745 in June, 2010 for the “Sweet Dreams 2” project. The grant covered the cost of obtaining a new crib. The new portable crib is smaller than a normal hospital bed, enables care givers to adjust the crib height for access, allows the head of the bed to be raised, contains scales to make it easier to monitor a child’s weight, has a custom wheel and brake system for moving the crib and has retracting rails to allow easier access to the pediatric patient.
This is the third CMN grant for PRMC. In 2007 the CMN purchased Broslow Kits, special resuscitation kits designed specifically for kids, for the hospital. In 2009 the CMN provided the funds to purchase the first new Pediatric crib in 30 years at PRMC. The 2010 grant will further enhance PRMC’s capacity to provide medical care for children with an additional crib.
The Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) provides funds to hospitals for equipment and resources for the care of children as well as providing resources for the medical care of children through the age of 21 and pregnant women with financial need. The Pratt Health Foundation and PRMC are grateful for organizations like the Children’s Miracle Network who help provide the medical equipment needed to care for children. |
