Resident Testimonials

“I want to Thank You All for taking good care of my Dad!  While in Pratt visiting my folks, families & friends, it was a pleasure to have come in contact with each of you!  You all have shown your care & compassion, not only to my Dad but all other patients as well!  I know in my heart & soul, my Dad (Raymond) adores & appreciates each & every one!  Kudos to all of you!  Again, Thank You!!!”

With Appreciation!
Kelly B. Rauhut, Gardnerville, NV.

“Since you have started the new menus, the food has been great! Sometimes when they offer desserts, I just think, ‘This is amazing!’  Some of the people working here are darn good.  When I see them coming, I get a twinkle in my eye. They are that good.”

Carlos Polk, Ed.S.

Sandy Devine
LTC Support Employee of the Month
June 2010

Sandy Devine

This award is presented to Sandy Devine for selection as:
LTC Support Employee of the Month—June 2010. Sandy has distinguished herself as a critical member of the long term care team.  She almost always exhibits a “can do,” “customer first” attitude.  Sandy is one of the primary cooks in the dietary department, but will work any job, any time to insure the kitchen runs smoothly.  In the absence of the Dietary Manager, she willingly steps up and helps develop work schedules, orders the food and organizes operations.

Tensions often run high in a dietary department where everyone is on a deadline—three times a day.  Sandy has the personal charisma and leadership ability to keep everyone loose and focused, even in high stress situations.    Her culinary skills virtually guarantee superior meals are served every time.  She pays particular attention to preferences, likes and dislikes of residents, offering seconds or alternates as it seems appropriate.  She holds herself to the highest standards related to food handling, safety and sanitation.

Sandy serves as a sterling role model for all who promote “Person Centered Care” and strive to be the very best!  Her flexibility, understanding of diets, positive mental attitude, high standards of quality, character, honesty, understanding of the frail elderly, leadership, communication skill and desire to be “Simply the Best,” brings great credit to himself, the dietary department and contributes to the tradition of excellence at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center.

Awarded this 11th Day of June, 2010.

Aaron D. Kelley, Jr., Administrator
Connie Meier, RN, Dir of Nursing
