Resident Testimonials

“Since you have started the new menus, the food has been great! Sometimes when they offer desserts, I just think, ‘This is amazing!’  Some of the people working here are darn good.  When I see them coming, I get a twinkle in my eye. They are that good.”

Pratt Regional Living Center has New Name
and New Service to Offer Community

April 16, 2007 - Pratt Regional Living Center has a new name, Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center. Early this year, Pratt Regional Medical Center, which manages the facility, applied for Medicare certification at the Living Center, and received certification notice last week.

“Medicare certification allows us to provide skilled services to our patients and residents receiving care at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center,” PRRC Administrator Renae Kersenbrock said. “The Skilled Nursing Unit is designed to provide transitional care to those who require additional recovery time following a stay in the hospital.”

The goal is to provide the highest quality of rehabilitative and nursing care to residents while facilitating their transition from hospital to home. An interdisciplinary team of nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, discharge planners, dietitians and support staff work together to assess patient needs and develop an individualized plan of care.

“For the past ten years, we have primarily been providing residents with long-term-care and we will continue that needed service,” explained Kersenbrock. “With Medicare certification, we will also help patients and residents who need skilled services to make a strong recovery and return to their home and their normal activities.”

Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center is located at 227 South Howard in Pratt. If you have any questions about the services now available at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center, please call Renae Kersenbrock at 672-3424.
